Recording Fees

With our ability to record up to 24 tracks at a time, the entire input list can be recorded. We can also record only the mixer output. The mixer output however is NOT what you expect. What sounds great live most often does not sound best recorded. You are hearing the room and the stage sound all at once.

2 track recording - $25 for one band's show. This will be an as-mixed recording only. We will simply hand you the disc at the end of the show.

NOTE - Each CD will hold only 74 minutes of material Maximum. Switching CD's takes several minutes to finalize the first and start the second. Some material may not get recorded if no break taken

2 Track DAT tape -$60 for one band's show- Digital tape. Several hours of recording possible. The down side is the time needed to lay the recordings off to a format you can use. If you have a DAT player, I will simply hand you the tape at the end of the night

24 track Hard Disk Recorder - $100 per band's show - All inputs to the board are sent to the recorder. Editing of individual tracks as well as adding needed dynamics and FX are possible. The Alesis HD24 we use records in a proprietary format. We have to move them to my hard drive one track at a time. Then we can edit at will.

What you will get -

Rough mix of all as 2 track CD

Quick edit version. Editing dead space and bad tracks out. I will do basic track corrections and add needed touches to show you if this is material you will want to keep. This will be as far as we will get with this level. Usually this will be 6-10 hours of my time.

Any further editing and mix-down fees can be discussed.

Contact me at time you book your act! We have other endeavors and will need to schedule my time well in advance. If you know who your fellow acts are that night, make contact with them to see if they are interested. Keep in mind, my fees are per band, not per night.
